MIA is a platform for licensed P&C agents who want to stop trading time for policies — and start building a book that pays them for years. Share a link. We handle quoting, binding, service, and renewals. You earn commissions on every converted referral, every renewal, every year.
You spend your mornings re-quoting renewals. Your afternoons chasing underwriters. Your evenings updating spreadsheets and answering client calls about policy changes they could have made online.
You're working harder than ever — but your income is capped by the number of hours you can physically put in. Every new client means more servicing. More phone calls. More liability.
Meanwhile, the people in your network — mortgage lenders, real estate agents, auto dealers — are sending insurance referrals to someone. Just not to you. Because you're too busy servicing the clients you already have.
There's a better way.

Uber didn't train drivers how to drive. They built the technology and infrastructure.
Drivers plugged in. Then they earned.
MIA is built the same way — for licensed insurance agents.

Your effective commission rate is approximately 4 to 6% of premium. That may sound low compared to a direct 15% commission — until you see what you're NOT doing for that 15%.
| Traditional Agent | MIA Agent | |
|---|---|---|
| Commission rate | 10–15% | ~4–6% effective |
| Quoting | 1–2 hours per client | 0 hours |
| Servicing | You handle endorsements, billing, claims | All handled for you |
| Carrier appointments | Required per carrier, per state | None needed |
| E&O insurance | Required ($1,000–3,000/year) | Not required |
| Office / overhead | Office, staff, systems | $0 |
| Renewals | Must actively service to retain | Automatic — earn without lifting a finger |
| Time to first dollar | Months of setup | First commission cycle after policy binds |
A single auto policy with a $2,000 annual premium earns you approximately $120 per year — every year it renews. No additional work. No servicing. No phone calls.
Independent carriers typically pay agents 10–15% commission — but that comes with quoting, servicing, and overhead. MIA's ~4–6% effective rate is pure margin: no quoting, no servicing, no overhead.
Renewals compound. Year over year, your book grows — and so does your income. Without a single extra hour of work.
Typical active MIA agents refer 20+ clients per month — and many scale well into the hundreds.
Based on average personal lines premium of $1,800. Your effective rate is approximately 6% of premium (you receive 80% of MIA's 50% share of partner commissions). Actual earnings vary by carrier, product, and state. Assumes 100% retention for illustration. Actual retention varies.

We believe in honesty. MIA is powerful — but it's not for everyone.
If you hold a P&C license and have a client base, MIA works for you — no matter what your primary focus is.
You handle the commercial side. Let MIA handle your personal lines referrals. Stop leaving money on the table every time a commercial client asks about home or auto.
Life, health, financial services, travel — if you also carry a P&C license and your clients need personal lines coverage, MIA lets you earn from those conversations instead of referring them away for free.
Mortgage lenders, real estate professionals, auto dealers, association leaders — if you're licensed and people in your network need insurance, this is the simplest way to monetize those relationships.
Licensed in a few states but getting referrals from across the country? MIA covers all 50 states with 50+ carriers. No new appointments needed.
Backed by a national partner operating across all 50 states.
Nothing. No signup fees, no monthly fees, no hidden charges. You don't need E&O insurance, carrier appointments, or a physical office. There is no cost to participate.
When your referral becomes a policyholder, commissions flow through three steps: the carrier pays the national partner, MIA receives 50% of the partner's share, and you receive 80% of MIA's share. Your effective commission rate is approximately 4 to 6% of premium. This applies to new business AND renewals — meaning your earnings compound as your book grows. See the full breakdown above.
MIA does not collect banking information during signup. After your first policy is written and commissions are ready to be paid, our accounting team will contact you to set up direct deposit. You'll receive a detailed commission report with every payment. You can also choose to be contracted as an individual or through a business entity.
You can refer clients in any state. However, to receive commissions, you must be licensed in the state where the policy is written. If a policy is placed in a state where you're not yet licensed, commissions can be held for up to 90 days while you obtain a non-resident license. Most non-resident licenses are straightforward to obtain through NIPR.
Every agent gets a unique referral link containing your agent ID. When a client uses your link, every action — from first click to policy binding — is tied to your tracking code automatically. You can see lead progress and policy status in your dashboard at any time.
Your client enters a clean, consumer-friendly online quoting experience. They can compare options from multiple carriers within minutes. Licensed agents from our national partner step in to answer questions, review coverage, and bind the policy. You stay out of the quoting and servicing — but remain connected to the client relationship.
Personal lines including auto, home, renters, condo, landlord/rental properties, umbrella, and recreational vehicles (RV, motorcycle, boat, ATV). Product availability varies by state, but coverage options are broad nationwide. All business is subject to standard underwriting — this is a professional quoting platform, not a market of last resort.
Our national partner's licensed team handles all ongoing service: policy changes, billing questions, ID cards, renewals, and support. Service hours are typically 8am–9pm EST, Monday through Friday, with digital self-service tools available 24/7.
Yes — you'll sign a straightforward Participation Agreement that outlines the commission structure, tracking, and program terms. There are no long-term lock-in provisions, no minimum production requirements, and no penalties for leaving. You can exit anytime and retain ownership of the book you built. We believe the program should earn your commitment — not a contract.
No. MIA has a zero-tolerance policy on this — no exceptions. If you are currently under a captive or exclusive agreement with any carrier, you are not eligible. This includes State Farm, Allstate, Farmers, American National, Country Financial, GEICO, USAA, Shelter Insurance, American Family, and any similar captive or exclusive arrangement. Captive agreements prohibit agents from placing business through outside platforms, and MIA requires all agents to confirm they are free of such restrictions. If you're unsure, consult your carrier contract or an attorney before applying. If you leave your captive carrier and become independent in the future, you're welcome to apply. MIA is built exclusively for independent, licensed agents.
MIA's national partner platform is designed for standard and preferred personal lines risks. Their carrier network is broad (50+ carriers across all 50 states), but all business goes through normal underwriting. Clients with significant claims history or non-standard risk profiles may not find coverage through the platform. Think of it as a premium quoting experience powered by MIA's national partner — your clients deserve a professional process.
Our AI assistant is trained on the entire MIA program — commissions, requirements, the participation agreement, commercial lines, and more.
